A jury convicted Tony Travis Edmond of first degree murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment. After exhausting his state remedies, Edmond petitioned for federal ha-beas corpus relief pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 (1988). Edmond asserts that the prosecution, in violation of the state district court’s pre-trial Brady order, failed to produce a palmprint of Edmond’s companion that, according to Edmond, would have impeached eyewitness testimony that he was the trigger man. 1 The district court denied the petition for habeas relief, and Edmond now appeals. 2 We…
