SIMMS, Justice:
A dispute exists between the Appointee of the Oklahoma Tax Commission and Respondent County Commissioner Appointee as to who is entitled to hold public office as a member of the Garfield County Board of Equalization, County Commissioners’ District No. 3.
Petitioners and Respondent join in asking this Court to assume original jurisdiction and settle title to the office, or alternatively, prescribe a method of making a valid appointment. The parties seek to invoke the original jurisdiction of this Court under authority of the “general superintending control” provisions of Art.…
