The Plaintiffs-Appellants, Eric Carlyle Dean and Elizabeth Dean, filed a civil rights complaint against the defendants alleging constitutional violations and various state law claims based upon the alleged wrongful termination of Eric Dean’s employment. After the filing of the defendants’ motions for summary judgment, the Deans sought to amend their Complaint to assert additional claims, including a claim under Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. § 12111 (hereinafter the “ADA”).
