hThe State of Louisiana (state) charged the defendant, Darryl Boudreaux, by bill of information with one count of vehicular homicide, a violation of La.R.S. 14:32.1, and one count of hit-and-run driving, a violation of La.R.S. 14:100. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant plead guilty to the offense of hit-and-run driving, and the state dismissed the vehicular homicide charge. When he entered his guilty plea, the defendant also admitted to being a second felony offender as defined by La. R.S. 15:529.1.
