Defendant was the contract engineer which constructed the munitions plant known as Holston Ordnance Works, at Kingsport, Tennessee, under a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with the United States Government. Plaintiffs were employees of the defendant. The action was commenced by a large number of employees to recover unpaid overtime wages allegedly due them under the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C.A. § 201 et seq.
