We certified this case for review from the court of appeals pursuant to Rule 204(b), SCACR. Government Employee’s Insurance Company (“GEICO”) appeals the family court’s denial of its petition to join or intervene in Ronnie Cooper’s (“Cooper”) family court proceeding involving the validity of his common law marriage with Yolanda Goethe (“Goethe”).
