This is an action on the case, charging a neglect on the part of Simeon Bradbury, late deputy of the defendant, who, at the time of the default alleged, was sheriff of the county of Washington; and the plaintiff demands certain sums of money collected by Bradbury on two executions, and interest thereon at the rate of thirty per cent since the alleged demand of the money — pursuant to the provision of the third section of Stat. 1821, ch. 92.
