This case is one of many spawned by the so-called “viatical settlement industry.” Plaintiff Liberte Capital Group, LLC (“Li-berte”) and Intervening-Plaintiffs Alpha Capital Management Group, LLC, and Integrity Management Partners, LLC (collectively, “Alpha”) were separately engaged in managing viatical settlements.
