LYNCH, District Judge.

Carlos Humberto Ruiz stands before the Court for sentencing after conviction by a jury of two counts charging him with conspiring to import the controlled substance methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (commonly known as “MDMA” or “ecstasy”) in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 963, and to distribute the same drug in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846.
