This record embraces two causes of action, one in ejectment for the possession of a tract of land, and the *250other to recover damages Cor waste resulting from the destruction and removal of all buildings from the land by the defendant while in its possession. The trial court directed the jury to find that the plaintiff' was entitled to recover possession of the land but submitted to them the determination of the amount of damage which the plaintiff had suffered because of the waste.
