BACKGROUND

On January 28, 2000, this matter was before the court for a hearing on the defendant’s, Town of Tyngsborough, motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict. This action was tried before the court and a jury by the plaintiffs against the defendants remaining in the case at the time of trial which included the Department of Social Services, Judge Baker Children’s Center, Inc., MaryR.
