This is an action of assumpsit brought on March 24,1885, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, by the appellee against the Supreme Lodge of the Ancient Order of United Workmen, the Grand Lodge of the Ancient Order of United Workmen of Illinois, Wicker Park Lodge No. 104 of the Ancient Order of United Workmen, and the Ancient Order of United Workmen, the appellants. The case was tried before the Circuit judge without a jury, the jury being waived by agreement.
