Plaintiff Dr. Usha Vakharia (“Vakha-ria”), a 45-year old woman born in Bombay, India, and a physician specializing in anesthesiology, claims that her privileges as a member of the medical staff of Swedish Covenant Hospital (“the Hospital”) were restricted and ultimately terminated on discriminatory grounds.
