ALLBEE, Justice.
Defendant appeals from conviction and sentence upon his plea of guilty to the charge of third degree theft, a violation of § 714.2(3), Code Supp.1977. The principal complaint is that trial court failed to ensure that defendant understood the terms of the plea bargain from which this guilty plea evolved. It is insisted that the court should have asked defendant to express in his own words the terms of the agreement because, defendant argues, it was obvious he was having difficulty understanding those terms.
