HOUSTON, Justice.
This appeal involves a property dispute in an action brought by the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (“AME Zion Church”) against the congregation of Simmons Chapel Church, which is located in Macon County. The trial court granted Simmons Chapel’s motion to dismiss and determined that Simmons Chapel owned the property on which the church building was located.
