So much of the complaint as is in issue on appeal charges the school district, the members of its school committee, the school district superintendent, and the assistant superintendent (the “public defendants”) with failure to protect and assist the plaintiff “in exercising her right to attend regular sessions” of high school after she had been worsted in a fracas with two other students, Ethel Robideaux and Patricia Ricardo.
