MEMORANDUM OPINION

FRANK W. KOGER, Chief Judge.

The general issue before this Court is whether a judgment rendered against the debtor in favor of her ex-husband is a judicial lien of the type that can, and should, be avoided under 11 U.S.C. § 522(f).

The debtor herein, Jo Carleen Porter, filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 7, 11 U.S.C. on November 8, 1989. On January 16, 1990 Ms. Porter filed a “Motion to Avoid Judicial Lien.” She alleges that a judicial lien was created in favor of Roy Gene Blackburn, her ex-husband, by virtue of a judgment during the judicial dissolution of…
