'The object of the bill in this cause is to set aside a trust deed of assignment, purporting to have been made by or on behalf of the North American Trust and Banking Company, on the 15th December, 1840, to the defendants Yates, Talmage and Noyes, to secure the payment of an issue of eight hundred promissory notes of the company, all of the same date with the deed and payable thirteen months thereafter—four hundred of them being for the sum of $500 each and the other four hundred for $1000 each with interest at seven per cent, amounting in the aggregate to six hundred…
