The appellant was charged with filing a false police report in violation of Ark. Code Ann. § 5-54-122 (Repl. 1997). After a jury trial, he was found guilty of committing that offense, sentenced to 180 days in jail, and fined $7,000. On appeal, appellant argues that the trial court erred in denying his motion for a directed verdict on the grounds that there was no evidence that he had filed a report within the meaning of the statute. We affirm.
