Fire & Safety Investigation Consulting Services, LLC, ("Fire & Safety") and Christopher Harris ("Harris"), the owner of Fire & Safety, appeal the district court's determination that Fire & Safety violated the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA") by failing to pay certain employees proper overtime compensation. At issue is whether Fire & Safety's payment system violated the FLSA by failing to pay for overtime.
