The plaintiff, David L. Speed, alleging that he was totally and permanently disabled in September, 1950, as the result of a brain injury sustained when he fell from a 23 foot scaffold while employed as a laborer to assist in the work of demolishing and reconstructing the Arcade Theater in Ferriday,-Louisiana, as the joint employee of defendant William W. Page, the owner and operator of the theater, and defendant Mike S.
