Plaintiff’s original petition claimed damages for personal injuries sustained in a fall on an icy sidewalk in Sioux City in front of the property of defendant Siegel. It alleged negligence on the part of the two_ defendants, the city and Siegel, in failing to remove snow and ice accumulations from the sidewalk.
