This is an original proceeding in this court by the petitioner for discharge from a prosecution pending against him in the circuit court of the city of St. Louis for criminal causes, for robbery in the first degree.

On an information duly verified by the assistant circuit attorney of the city of St. Louis, the defendant was arrested and on a preliminary examination in the court of general sessions was bound over to await a trial in the circuit court for said offense.
