ROGERS, Circuit Judge.

In late 2001, Lowe’s Home Centers, Inc. signed an agreement with Michael Eyde, the principal of LL & 127, LLC (“LL”), 1 to lease Lowe’s the space for a store on land that was being developed as a mall in Lansing, Michigan. Unfortunately, the relationship between the parties soured shortly after the contract was signed, and Lowe’s brought a diversity breach of contract action in federal court against LL. Following a jury verdict in favor of Lowe’s, both sides now appeal. LL urges reversal of the judgment on the grounds that: (1) the contract is unenforceable because…
