On September 29, 1922, an explosion of gas occurred in the mine of the plaintiff in error, located at Johnston City, Williamson county. Firmino Cástrale, a digger of coal, who was working close to the place of explosion, sustained injuries by reason thereof. He filed his claim with the Industrial Commission for compensation under the Workmen’s Compensation act on account of such injuries.
