MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
A. THOMAS SMALL, Bankruptcy Judge.
The matter before the court is the chapter 13 debtors’ motion to avoid a judicial lien pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 522(f)(1). A hearing was held in Raleigh, North Carolina on December 12, 1984.
FACTS
The chapter 13 debtors, Jimmy Lee Allred and Theresa Ann Merck Allred, own a house in Cary, North Carolina, valued at $70,000. The balance of the first deed of trust is $45,000 leaving an equity of $25,-000.
