OPINION OF THE COURT

KENNETT, Judge:

Tried by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial, appellant was con*554victed, pursuant to his pleas, of wrongful distribution of methamphetamine and using provoking words in violation of Articles 112a and 117, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter cited as UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. §§ 912a and 917 (1982 and Supp. I 1983), respectively. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for five months, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to the grade of Private E-l. The convening authority approved the adjudged sentence.
