TURNAGE, Judge.

This is an appeal by the defendant railroad from an adverse jury verdict and judgment for $18,000.00 awarded to plaintiffs for the death of their sixteen year old son, Stephen Weber.

Plaintiffs and their son lived in Mon-trose, Missouri, at the intersection of Fourth Street and Texas Street.

Texas Street ran north and south and crossed the defendant’s railroad tracks approximately a block south of the plaintiffs’ home. Fourth Street ran east and west and intersected Kansas Street, another north-south street, about a block to the east of plaintiffs’ home. Defendant’s railroad…
