OPINION
SUSAN LARSEN, Justice.
This is an original proceeding in mandamus. We deny relief for the reasons stated below. 1
FACTS
Relator Hoover, Bax & Slovacek, L.L.P. (“HBS”) originally represented John Walton in a lawsuit against Bass Enterprises Production Co., Perry R. Bass, Inc. f/k/a Sid W. Richardson, Inc., Sid R. Bass, Inc., Keystone, Inc., Goliad Partners, L.P., Alamo Partners, L.P. n/k/a Stonegate Part ners, L.P., Lee M.
