May 5, 1909, judgment by confession was entered in the Circuit Court of Cook county in favor of Hannah Allport against Charles Meutseh and Martha Meutseh for $535 and costs. The narr or declaration, which was in the usual form for a suit on a promissory note (except as hereinafter stated), was accompanied by a cognovit signed by an attorney.
