¶ 1 Plaintiff Ramsey Herndon LLC sued defendant, Lisa Whiteside (formerly known as Lisa E. Luchtefeld), doing business as Beam Oil Company, for breach of contract and conversion because defendant refused to pay plaintiff royalties arising from an oil and gas lease. The Macon County circuit court granted defendant's motion to dismiss with prejudice under section 2-615 of the Code of Civil Procedure ( 735 ILCS 5/2-615 (West 2014) ), finding that plaintiff failed to state a cause of action.
