The plaintiff in error, hereinafter called the defendant, was convicted in the district court of Kay County, on a charge of having possession and control of narcotic drugs, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the state penitentiary for a period of 7 years and to pay a fine of $500. From the judgment and sentence, defendant has appealed to this court for review by petition in error and case-made, which petition in error and case-made were filed on May 7, 1927.
