Appeal from Twentieth. Judicial District Court, Parish of Terrebonne; Hugh M. Wallis, Jr., Judge. John Minor was convicted of shooting with intent to kill, and he appeals.

Defendant appeals from a conviction of shooting with intent to kill under an indictment charging him with shooting with intent to murder, and from a sentence of not less than 18 months nor more than 24 months at hard labor.

Two bills of exception were reserved in the case, the first to the remarks of- the district attorney in his closing argument before the jury, and the second to the refusal of the trial judge to grant him a new trial, based on the grounds: (1) That the verdict of the jury is contrary to the law and the evidence; (2) that the remarks made by the district attorney were…
