I. Factual and PROCEDURAL Background

An automatic door struck Appellant Dorothy Fethkenher as she was exiting a Kroger store in Granbury, Texas on September 13, 1999. Appellant reported the incident to Kroger and went home, where she treated injuries to her head, right hand, and right arm with ice and over-the-counter pain medicine. The following day, Appellant went to a hospital emergency room, seeking medical attention for pain and swelling in her right hand and arm.
