This action is brought to recover a sum of money alleged to have been found due to the plaintiff upon an accounting between the parties. Upon the trial of the cause, the plaintiff called ’Win. Lyon, the present Clerk of the School District, defendant, and proposed to prove by him the authenticity of a book alleged to be the hook of record of the district, at the time the cause of action is alleged to have accrued.
