This is an original proceeding in which petitioner, an inmate of Montana State Prison, appearing pro se, seeks a writ of habeas corpus.

Petitioner was committed to the prison on November 27, 1951 on a 25 year sentence for armed robbery. On March 14, 1957 he was paroled and remained on parole until August 14, 1967. At that time he was returned to prison for violating his parole. On October 20, 1969 the Sentence Review Division reduced petitioner’s sentence from 25 to 23 years.
