On August 10, 2012, plaintiff Lawrence Anyaso filed suit against his employer, the United States Capitol Police (“USCP”), alleging discrimination on the basis of race in violation of the Congressional Accountability Act (“CAA”), 2 U.S.C. §§ 1408, et seq., and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e, et seq.1 (Compl., Aug. 10, 2014 [ECF No. 1], at ¶¶ 1, 36.)
