The defendant appeals as of right from his plea-based conviction for armed *374robbery, MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797. The defendant was sentenced to a term of 8 to 13 years in prison.
On appeal, the defendant contends that the trial court failed to comply with the requirement of GCR 1963, 785.7. More specifically, defendant alleges that the trial court did not advise the defendant that the offense to which he was entering a plea was nonprobationable, as required by GCR 1963, 785.7(l)(f).
