DeKalb County condemned a portion of the property owned by the D’Youville Recreational Association for a temporary construction easement on July 21, 1981. The county filed a condemnation petition, published the proposed condemnation in the Decatur-DeKalb News/ Era Newspaper, and deposited $5,500, the estimated just compensation for the property, with the clerk of the superior court.
