After he pled guilty to fifty-five counts of criminal factoring of financial transaction card records,1 thirty-nine counts of theft by conversion,2 four counts of theft by taking,3 and one count of theft by deception,4 Randy Lee Polly was sentenced to twenty years, with eight months to serve in confinement and the balance to be served on probation. As a special condition of his probation, Polly was required, among other things, to pay $30,000 in restitution to his victims.5 The restitution was to be paid in monthly installments of $500 over a period of five years, beginning with…
