The plaintiff, J.M. Cain, Jr., filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of Tuscaloosa County alleging, among other things, a breach of contract by the defendant, Charles L. Saunders, Jr. The dispute between the parties related to certain commercial transactions between them. Following the entry of a partial summary judgment in favor of Saunders, the parties, on January 24, 2000, mediated the remainder of the action and reached an agreement.
