These appeals concern the correctness of a judgment of the Mobile Circuit Court, which was entered in modification and enforcement proceedings directed to a divorce judgment entered in 1991; in these appeals, William R. Higgs ("the former husband") seeks review of those aspects of the judgment that reduced the former husband's periodic-alimony obligation from $5,000 to $3,000 per month instead of terminating that obligation and that awarded Marilyn E.
