Scott Halsey sued Dillard's, Inc. (hereinafter "the employer"), seeking to recover workers' compensation benefits for alleged injuries to his knees and left shoulder sustained in the line and scope of his employment on December 9, 1999. The employer answered Halsey's complaint and denied liability.
