Lewis Johnson filed, his bill, alleging that, at and anterior to the 21st of November, 1831, he was an actual settler with a family, in the land district west of the Tennessee river. That anterior thereto, he had, in good faith, improved the south west quarter of section 20, township 5, range 3, east of the meridian line. That on said day, he was the owner, occupier, and cultivator of the improvement, and the actual settler thereon.
