In this case, the defendant is charged with a violation of section 166-17 of the Code of the Town of Huntington (commercial buyer’s or buyer’s helper permit required). A violation of this ordinance for a first conviction is punishable by a fine of not less than $200 nor more than $500. (See Code of Town of Huntington, § 166-25, subd [A], par [1].)
