Error to the Common Pleas of Jefferson county. This was an action of debt brought on the official bond of T. S. Mitchell, late sheriff of Jefferson county, in the name of the Commonwealth, for the use of B. E. Lucas. On the 19th of April 1856, B. E. Lucas, Esq., entered up a judgment in the Common Pleas against William Corley for $1500, and on the same day an execution was placed into the hands of Sheriff Mitchell, who levied on “ all the interest and claims of William Corley of, in, and to eleven and one-half rafts of white pine boards, lying in Sandy Lick Creek, and twelve old cables,” all…

— If the learned judge of the Common Pleas was right in his interpretation of the written contract between Rouse & Corley of the one part, and Lake of the other, it is not necessary to discuss certain other questions raised in the case.
