{¶ 1} We affirm the judgment of the Sixth District Court of Appeals dismissing a petition for a writ of mandamus. The court of appeals correctly dismissed the *128petition of appellant, Lawrence D. Robinson, for a writ of mandamus because the issue he asserts is res judicata.

Facts and procedural history

{¶ 2} In 1975, Robinson was retried and convicted of premeditated murder and felony murder for an incident that occurred in 1973 and was sentenced to two terms of life imprisonment, to be served consecutively.
