Atkinson, Justice.
Ida Horton, whose maiden name was Ida McMasters, sued McLendon in ejectment for a certain lot of land in the city of Atlanta, claiming mesne profits. The abstract of title upon which she based her right of recovery consisted of a series of deeds, commencing, in point *55of date, in 1863, and running down through James M. Johnson to Jane McMasters, the last mentioned deed being dated May 11th, 1870, from Jane McMasters to T. K. Oglesby, dated February 13th, 1871, and then a deed from T. K.
