J. Mac Cotton’s executrix obtained a ' judgment against B. F. Cotton. On June 13, 1908, execution was issued thereon, directed to the sheriff of Madison county. The execution was for the sum of $2,228.80, with interest from December 15, 1903, subject to a credit of $741.60, with interest from the same date. This amount was exclusive of costs and commissions. Upon receipt of the execution the sheriff proceeded to levy the same upon a tract of land, containing about 74 acres, as the property of B. F. Cotton. The sheriff thereupon…
