Respondent was admitted to the practice of law in New York by the Third Judicial Department on April 21, 1980. At all times relevant to this proceeding, respondent maintained an *7office for the practice of law within the First Judicial Department.

On October 1, 1996, this Court suspended respondent, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 603.4 (e) (1) (i), based upon his willful failure to cooperate with the Departmental Disciplinary Committee in its investigation into three separate complaints of professional misconduct (225 AD2d 1).
